Ohanyan Brandy 10 Year Old
A new, unique myth - created according to legendary traditions of Armenian brandy making. Woven from sun-taste grapes of Armenian highlands, one of the very few regions in the world where nature survived unaffected.
The youngest brandy in the blend is aged in oak barrels at least 10 years.
Then color is transparent, with crystal shine of intense golden color. The prevalence of well-balanced soft chocolate-vanilla tones in the bouquet signifies the presence of old brandy spirits in the blend such that are aged in oak barrels.
The taste is delicate, harmonious, and inherent to vintage brandies. The aftertaste retains a feeling of pleasant warmth with a harmonious aroma only corresponding to aged cognacs of the highest quality.
Ohanyan Brandy Company is one of the first family owned enterprises in Armenia, established in 1998 on basis of Askeran Wine Factory founded in the Artsakh region of Armenia. The factory has traditions of production of wines and brandies going back since 1922. The factory covers an area of 3 hectares and has its orchards and vineyards of more than 155 hectares or 383 acres.
The Ohanyan Brandy Company produces exclusively strong alcoholic beverages made from 100% natural fruits, brandy and vodka. They use specific techniques, and local approaches not found anywhere else in the world, which make their products unique.
The Yerevan factory was established in 2023 and is equipped with modern production lines. The factory’s flow line was designed and provided specifically for the new Ohanyan Brandy Company in Armenia, it is a modern, state of the art flow line which makes production more efficient and even better quality. The first Armenian organic wheat vodka is produced at this very factory, and is widely recognized in the Armenian Diaspora.
The barrels used to age their products are all made from Artsakh Oak, in their workshop they use only Artsakh Oak because it has excellent organoleptic properties. Due to the Artsakh war in 2020 and the illeagal occupation and ethnic cleansing of all Armenians from the historic Artsakh region of Armenia, by Azerbaijani and Turkish forces, the factory was forced to move and relocate to Yerevan (The capital city of Republic of Armenia). Since the move to Yerevan, they have planted vineyards and also brought Pomegranates, apples, apricots, and everything else that was possible to bring from their vineyards, orchards and factory in Artsakh to Yerevan, so that their history and legacy continues.
Ohanyan Brandy Company has participated in multiple international exhibitions, taster competitions and has won 55 medals, out of which 35 are gold. Their main export markets are Russian Federation, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, USA, Uruguay, Australia, China and Canada.
